Rome
You thrive at the center of things, knowing that where you're at is where it's all happening: politics, drama, fashion, diversity, culture, and the latest and greatest trappings of a modern life, from flush toilets to forks with tines. You want to live comfortably in a clean environment with other at least semi-literate people.

Athens
Democracy, beauty, philosophy, free thought--Athens had all of that and more. What better place to be than a culturally rich city surrounded by sea and hillside, with people that enjoy conversation, delicious food, and good wine?

Alexandria
Where better place to be than the center of learning? Alexandria's lighthouse was a beacon, not just for sailors but for scholars and scribes. This beautiful Egyptian city has gorgeous Mediterranean beaches and beautiful architecture, and is a paradise for bibliophiles and autodidacts.

Delphi
Known as the navel of the ancient world, Delphi's beautiful mountains were a magnet for mystics and those that sought knowledge from the other world through the Oracle at Delphi, the priestess Pythia. Anyone who loves the mysteries of the unknown would have loved living in Delphi.

Rhodes
When you want access to culture but prefer tranquility to the hustle and bustle of the city, where better to be than on an island at the gateway between the known and unknown worlds? Rhodes had trade, politics, religion, culture, and one of the largest sculptures ever created, but it also had white sand beaches in secluded coves with crystal clear water that changed from blue to green. You would have lived in this paradise.

Gaul
You would thrive in the hinterlands of Gaul among the barbarian hordes! It's not quite as barbaric as Rome would have you believe though. These Celtic lands from Switzerland to France were filled with farming villages that did war sometimes but not all of the time. Many Celts were dripping in wealth and produced gold objects and jewelry with intricate designs. You would enjoy life in these beautiful fertile lands and lead a life that fairy tales were later made of.
