We'd both be depressed over it not working out--but really glad to see each other. We'd catch up and crack some jokes! Maybe grab a coffee. They'd take a second to remember me, and it would be awkward, because I'd remember them instantly. They'd fake interest and happiness to see me, but really they'd be upset with me for being... me. They'd take one look at me and pretend they didn't know who I was.
