Pay workers a living wage, have tax cuts for poor and middle class, cut defense spending, and tax the 1 percent at a higher rate. Double the minimum wage, and ensure retirees have livable pensions. Have public-private charities, fight poverty symptoms, reduce welfare program oversight, and expand work requirements for those on welfare.
