I'd be shocked, surprised, and horrified. It makes sense. I keep an eye on all my neighbors, and I always thought there was something dodgy about him. I'd feel satisfied. I was the one who called the police and started the investigation. I wouldn't really react or care. Everyone has the potential for murder.
