A True Viking
You're the leader of the quest, an Erik the Red or Freydis Eriksdottir. You will definitely have a place in Valhalla. You are always ready to take to the sea and lead expeditions to unknown places or to places where both danger and glory dwell.

A Viking
You are ready for adventures, battle, and pillaging. Bringing home tales of glory and hordes of treasure are just a bonus. You might not be a king or a storied hero, but you are part of those stories and a crucial element in Viking victory.

A Scandinavian of the Era
You live in a village that Vikings come home to and you keep things going for them while they're away. You're just not up to all of that danger and pillaging and whatnot. The warriors need your skills in farming, metalsmithing, boat building to support their campaigns abroad and lives at home.

A Thrall
You were captured by the Vikings and know a little of their culture, but you have a few more years in servitude before you completely understand their varied culture. Being a slave isn't the best thing in the world, but lucky for you, your master is a swell kind of guy and you've almost convinced him to make you a freed person.

One of the Conquered
Your country has been invaded by the Vikings and you have absorbed only a small amount of their culture. Your village was smart and buried its treasures so if the Vikings get bored and leave you'll have the money to rebuild and reinstate your own culture. Well, until the next group of raiders arrive, anyway.

From the other side of the world
You may have heard of Vikings from traders that have encountered them in their travels, but you have no first-hand experience of Vikings. From what you've heard, they're a barbaric people bent on destruction. You shouldn't believe everything you hear from traveling merchants, you know.
