Classics and Great Literature
You understand these words by Italo Calvino that 'a classic is a book that has never finished saying what it has to say.' You likely have a great respect for Shakespeare, a love for Tolstoy, and perhaps more than just a passing fancy for Austen. If you haven't read the great masterpieces of English, Russian, French, Spanish, American, Greece, etc...do.

Love and Romance
You love to escape with a novel that sweeps you up in its emotional tumult. You get caught up in tales of lost love, love found, love on the rocks, and love everlasting. Many of the great love stories are classics in their own right, but you're not above reading something slightly salacious once it's caught you in its mesmerizing tale.

Mystery and Suspense
You have the soul of Holmes and the charm of Poirot. You love to read for the clues to see if you can puzzle out the case before the detective manages to solve it all. Many of the best mysteries whisk you to far-flung locations and catch you up in their tales of international espionage or crime detecting.

Fantasy and Science Fiction
You want to enter distant worlds, imaginative places, and even travel to other planets. Your love of Tolkien is, perhaps, rivaled only by your love for Hogwarts. Although fantasy and science fiction are quite distinct as genres, you range between them from time to time to be transported to other worlds and enchanted realms.

Horror
You marvel at page turners graced by nightmarish scenes suspenseful, monstrous tales, and stories that make your heart race! The novels you admire have fangs and aren't afraid to use them! If your taste tends to books that know how to sustain terror, you should begin with Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King.

Non Fiction
For you, the best stories are real. You have a powerful attraction to truth, to what is real. Although you might go in for how-to books and books that teach you something, you also love great tales of true adventure, stories of human interest, and books about real-life quests.
