Kansas City Style BBQ Recipe
When you think of traditional barbeque sauces most sauces that you have had is a reflection of a Kansa City style recipe. Kanas city style sauces are a tomato or ketchup based sauce that encompasses many different flavors and additives to give it it's thick, rich, bold flavor. If you like variety, then a Kansas City style sauce is best for you.

Texas Style BBQ Recipe
If you prefer a thinner sauce that is more like a base, then Texas style barbeque sauce is best for you. It is a vinegar based sauce, not thick and bold like some sauces. Apple cider vinegar is normally the preference, sometimes sweet or sometimes tangy. Texas style barbeque sauces are never overpowering because Texans believe more in tasting the flavor of the meat instead of the meat being dominated by the flavor of the sauce.

Memphis Style BBQ Recipe
Memphis style sauces are similar in consistency to a Kansas City style sauce, but where the differ, in Memphis, they trade in the sweet and tangy for bold and spicy. Memphis style sauces are a combination of tomato base and vinegar with different spices added. In Memphis, they finish there sauces off with a kick.

Carolina Style BBQ Recipe
Carolina style barbeque sauce is a sweet, vinegar, based sauce. Unlike, some sauces that are predominantly apple cider vinegar, Carolina sauces are a combination of white vinegar and apple cider vinegar. If you thought Memphis style sauces were hot, they don't have anything on the Carolina style barbeque sauce. Coming up from South Carolina and working its way up into Eastern North Carolina, may believe these spicy sauces have a Creole origin.

Carolina Mustard Sauce BBQ Recipe
Unlike the vinegar based sauce, the mustard base sauce isn't shared between the two Carolinas. It is a South Carolina recipe. Much like the vinegar based sauces it is spicy as well. Unlike any of the other barbeque sauces, this one uses mustard as it's base to go along with different herbs and spices.

Store Bought
You can't cook, but you can grill. You have no real imagination in the kitchen that is why creating your own special sauce petrifies you, so you will run to your nearest grocery store and buy something off the shelf.
