Date nights are too hard to plan. Besides, I'm quite content with a glass of red wine and a book after the kids fall asleep. We have a regular, reliable babysitter on speed dial that we've used for years. We're on a date night rotation with some friends of ours, and we're leaving the kids with them. It's their turn to go out next weekend, and then we'll have to watch their kids for the night. Whoever is available, it's someone different every time. We don't do date nights, and we never leave the house without the kids with us. We don't want them picking up bad habits while we're gone!
