The Stay-at-Home Fan
You don't actually go to the cinema, but you're still a big fan of film. In fact, your collection of DVDs and Blue-rays is beyond impressive. You just prefer to watch your movies in the comfort of your own home, perhaps snuggled up on the couch with your sweetheart and your own homemade snacks. Sure, you've been known to fall asleep by the end of every movie, but that just means you get to have a matinee repeat the next day. Bonus: you can pause for bathroom breaks. Double bonus: sweat pants and no one to witness your occasional ugly cries.

The Lone Cowboy
Ok, so you're not a cowboy, but you would rather watch a movie alone any day of the week. Maybe you are an only child. Maybe you just like the experience of going solo to a Friday matinee. Cheaper tickets, you get an entire bag of popcorn to yourself, and you get to turn your phone off for a two-hour block and no one knows where you are. You hate that moment of reaching into the popcorn bag to find just buttery kernels because the 'friend' next to you just ate it all. Did I mention they are the one getting shushed by other people and asking you to explain everything that's going?! With company like this, it'd be crazy NOT to watch a movie alone.

The Talker
Yep, go ahead and admit it. You are that person. You would never understand a film without someone there to explain it to you. When you hear a catchy one-liner, you try and make it catch on immediately and repeat said one-liner throughout the next three days. Yes, you think it's #hilarious. For some reason when you get invited to a flick, your friends suggest you all put empty chairs between you. If you're watching a movie with a date at home, they go ahead and pause the movie when you start talking.

The Indie Chaser
You wouldn't be caught dead at one of those 'big box' theatres. You dig dive bars and dive movie theaters. You need a theatre that has midnight showings of old school flicks and the latest indie that everyone on Reddit is talking about. You and your hipster friends love this theatre because they sell craft beer and chicken fingers. You know, grown-up stuff. If you aren't watching some throwback movie to the early days of cinema or the hottest foreign film, you're there to support your filmmaker friends at their first indie movie premiere.

The Fanboy
When the next big winter or summer blockbuster is coming out, you are the first one in line for the big premiere. You wouldn't miss it! You've known and planned for this for the last four years. You can't handle the thought that anyone could see it before you and exclude you from any 'inside' conversations. When it comes to an EMPIRE??, you've seen them all (the old ones and the remakes), you've read all the books, you're part of the fan club, you have autographed memorabilia, and are on group chats trying to figure out any nuance or clue that nobody else has discovered yet.

The VIP
Movies are your thing. People come to you for suggestions because you've seen them all. You are there every weekend, at least. The kids at the concession stand know you by name. You even have the special member card that gets you free popcorn from time to time. You think of it as your book club. You love conversing about movies and therefore, you must be hip to what is current: good or bad. You have your movie bag packed with essentials: tissue for the heartbreaking moments, cough drops because you wouldn't dare let a pesky cold keep you from your love (and, of course, you wouldn't want to disrupt another movie-goer's experience), five different popcorn flavor enhancers, and a small blanket.
