5. You're two behind a mother of five rambunctious children in the checkout line, and the person in front of you is berating her for using food stamps to buy sugary cereal. What are your thoughts?

I am outraged and take up for her. I wait until she's gone, and then I explain to that rude person that poor is punishment enough without denying the children a treat. I shake my head and wonder if she knows what a disservice she's doing to her children with that awful diet. While I don't like the welfare system, I don't like rude busybodies either, so I succinctly mention that he's causing a scene in front of her kids. I tell him that he should save it for the voting booth, and then I follow her out and give her the address to my church's food pantry. ▶ Next Question ◀
