What Kind Of Mom Are You?
Question 2 out of 29
2. You're at a playdate, and a two-year-old toddler is hitting your two-year-old toddler. The mom is chatting away with another mother and hasn't noticed what's going on. What do you do?
I get up and leave angrily, but not before giving the mother a piece of my mind. People need to watch their kids.
I approach the kids and gently remind both of them that hitting is wrong, and then I diffuse the situation by giving the kids new toys to focus their attention on.
I get the mother's attention and fill her in on what's happening so that she can handle her child herself.
I pick up my child and quietly move him away from the hitter.
I watch intently to see how my child reacts to this new experience.
