2. Imagine you are a prominent zoologist, and someone brings you proof of Bigfoot and takes you to see him with your own eyes. You see that he exists. Now what?
I go through all of the correct scientific procedures, and then I tell the academic world and public that a North American biped exists.
I tell the academic world that there is a claim and then invite them to study with me, leaving a loophole for my good reputation to survive.
I keep it under wraps, and if someone asks, I'll tell them I did see something once that might bear further investigation.
