I tell her that it's poorly written and she needs to redo it. I point out that it has grammatical issues that need to be addressed and some ideas that need fleshing out. I tell her it's a decent first draft, and with polish, it will work. I ask her if she wants me to mark any corrections that need to be made so that she can shape it up before turning it in.
