Morning Star
The Native American Penobscot tribe has a tradition about the Morning Star, which they call the Great Star. In their tradition, the Great Star protects good people from witches and monsters. Just what you need!

Alcyone
She is the brightest star in the Pleiades and is truly a lucky star. 'Alcyone' is the root word for 'halcyon,' as in 'the halcyon days of summer.' The beginning of her story is tragic, but it ends with the Greek god of wind holding back the weather for her for 14 days each year, so she can raise her young--because she's now a bird--in peace. We think of 'halcyon days' as being a time of peace, but a more correct translation is 'lucky break.'

Spica
Spica gives us progression, because she led to Hipparchus discovering axial precession and continues to help astronomers today in studying it. Axial precession is similar to the gyration of a toy top. Because it exists, we don't observe stars in the same locations as someone 1,000 years ago did. They'll come back around, but for now, it helps astronomers and historians in their research. Spica is also not one star but two--a binary star whirling around. Wishing on this star may lead you to discoveries of your own, bring you the relationship of your dreams, or perhaps help you figure out your destiny!

Alpheratz
She is the brightest star in the Andromeda constellation and is known as the 'head of the princess.' In Arabic, she is called the 'navel of the mare.' Either way, this star denotes independence, honor, intelligence, riches, love, and freedom!

Alpherg
This star is important to Hindu, Babylonian, and Greek cultures. Known as 'the fish' or 'outpouring of water,' it helps those who seek success through preparedness and determination. That sounds counter to wishing on stars, but every little bit helps, right?

Mintaka
If you look at Orion's Belt, Mintaka is the star at the top of the belt's three diagonal stars. This star gives good fortune, strength, energy, and lasting happiness! Lucky you!
