Middle class kids who woke up one day and realized that everything that they enjoy in life comes from the oppression of non-middle class kids. Often can be found wearing anti-establishment t-shirts and listening to anti-establishment rock bands. Ironically this type of hippie is slightly pretentious. Least likely to live in commune.

A person who respects life of all kinds, believes that there is always a better option than to use violence, and is usually pretty straight, and not very uptight. Rejects conventional society and advocates love, peace, and simple, idealistic values by carrying, wearing and distributing flowers to all they come in contact with.

External rituals and spiritual practices are meant to trigger internal insights and transformation and believe power comes through you, not from you. Love is the ultimate source of life and acknowledge that the universe is infinite, mysterious and keeps us humble, and open, to other’s experiences and explanations.

Sex, drugs and rock and roll are your only commitments. You live completely outside of the mainstream and believe that no one belongs in the mainstream. A strong realization that humans commit acts of violence against other living things and the earth itself. You may think everyone should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't interfere with others.
