5. There is an opening at your company and you would love the job. It is a step up and offers more money. You ask your boss about it, but he says it is not open to people in the company. What do you think?
I smile and thank him anyway, and then ask my co-workers if that sounds right.
I think it is a real shame that people who already work in the company cannot apply.
What my boss meant to say was that he does not want ME for the job.
