Mount Huang
Also known as Huangshan or 'Yellow Mountain', this famous mountain has intriuged artists for centuries. Whether you enjoy snapping photos or painting on canvas, this mountain is sure to captivate your imagination. Located in eastern China, this mountain offers several ways to climb -- you can take the ancient stairs, with over 60,000 steps, or you can take the more modern cable cars up to Lotus Peak, the highest peak of the mountain.

Mount Everest
You can't really call yourself a mountain climber until you've tackled this ton of rock! 8,848 meters of rock make this mountain the highest on earth. If you're one who just wants to have done it all, this is one for your bucket list. A word of advice -- if you're not a professional, don't even think about climbing alone. This mountain has been challenging climbers since 1953, and you don't want to be one of the ones stuck on the mountain!

K2
The name might not be impressive, but the mountain certainly is. It might be slightly shorter than the famed Mount Everest, but what it lacks in height, it makes up for in danger. It is sometimes referred to as Savage Mountain because of its claim to fame -- one of the highest climber mortality rates of any mountain in the world. This mountain is not for the faint of heart.

Amphitheatre, Drakensburg
Drakensburg means 'dragon's mountain', which is fitting, because this mountain really does look like a dragon's back. With 3 miles of 4000 foot cliffs, this is certainly a mountain to be reckoned with. And you won't even find South Africa too warm -- the mountain range is over 11,000 feet up, so you'll definitely need a jacket. And don't wake the dragon.

Monte Fitz Roy
This mountain is literally out of this world. The sheer granite faces make climbing difficult to be sure, but it also gives the mountain an eerie, other-worldly appearance, making it quite an attraction for climbers and photographers alike. Who knows what you'll find on this mountain!

Mount Kailash
This mountain is for the people who like to break the rules. Held to be a sacred location in five different religions and therefore held off limits, Kailash has no record of ever being successfully climbed. Of course, the pervading thought is that those who walk there will have eternal good fortune, so if you can do it without offending a diety, it could just be the adventure of a lifetime.
