What to Bake?

It's soft, it's moist, and it's light. These sweet layered miracles known as cakes are humanities greatest creation, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Ideal for birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations, they're just as good when you don't have a reason for them. If not better! So go ahead, bake yourself a nice cake, and go all out with it. Make it look as pretty as you can!

Chocolate chip. White chocolate macadamia. Oatmeal raisin. Candy covered, or black and white cookies. Even peanut butter. Yes, cookies come in a variety of flavors, textures and sizes, and man are they delicious. They'll perk you right up on a rainy day over a cup of coffee. So maybe the situation calls for at least a dozen? Maybe more. Probably more. Better make double to be safe!

They can be filled, or left alone. Topped with sprinkles, icing, caramel, or basically anything else you can possibly think of. In fact they're super soft and moist, if done correctly. They're cupcakes, and you can't possibly go wrong baking a batch of these! Everyone will want one or more, so be nice and make at least a dozen, but don't expect them to last.

They get a bad rep for being dry, but a good scone, a proper scone, isn't dry at all. In fact, a really good scone will keep you coming back for more.
