How Old is Your Soul?

Your soul is almost newer than new! The wonder and amazement of the infant is apparent in your soul. Along with that, though, is the neediness of the infant. You want what you want and you want it now! But, your soul generally stops crying and starts laughing with joy once it get what it wants.

Your soul isn't just emerging, it's been here for a short while. A very short while, but long enough that it can still be amazed and pause to take in wondrous things. But, your soul goes beyond amazement and has started to explore, make discoveries, and seek adventure. That's not to say that you're Indiana Jones - that adventure could be in relationships, religious experiences, etc.

Your soul is reaching an age of rebellion, experimentation, all while trying to ground itself on this plane. Your soul is in a contradictory state of flux sometimes. But, meanwhile, it's getting comfortable with how to learn and grow as a human.

Your soul has reached an age that is winding down and finding a place in this world. It no longer has to rely on survival instincts, it is learning that it is possible to avoid over emotional reactions but it still hasn't quite mastered it. Your soul still can find joy in the wonder of youth.

Your soul has settled into the experience of being. It no longer sees survival as an extreme and anxious struggle. It has become less excitable but also has a deeper appreciation for the beauty of life. It is able to find some peace.

Your soul is old, ancient, and wise. It has been around a very, very long time. In all of the thousands of years that your soul has been around, it has learned wisdom and peace. Your soul as also learned to bring back to itself the things it gave up in adulthood like wonder and joy.
