What Kind Of Engineer Should I Be?

A civil engineer is what most people think of when they hear the word engineer. It is the most popular form of engineering. As a civil engineer, you would be involved in the design of infrastructure in cities and across the country. Examples include designing roads, bridges, dams and buildings.

Mechanical engineering has to do with the design and construction of machines. This includes robotics, drones and cooling and heating systems. Also, some elements of transportation can be considered mechanical engineering!

Chemical engineering is very difficult. It comprises of multiple forms of engineering such as physics and microbiology as they apply to chemicals. There are jobs in pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals!

Petroleum engineers deal with oil. Oil is used to make a multitude of things in our current society. As an engineer, you would do anything from analytical optimization of oil production to preventing oil related natural disasters.

Electrical engineering deals with the interconnectivity of electric-powered technology. There are many subdivisions in this field of engineering, but some examples include working with circuitry, microelectronics, or instrumentation!
