Spokane
With a population around 220,000, Spokane is east of Seattle, alongside interstate 90. It's definitely a city, more so than a podunk town, but it's about 5,000 people fewer than Seattle. So in other words, if you want more of a big-city vibe without the lavish price tags and crowds of Seattle, Spokane is it.

Chelan
Chelan offers lakefront views, boating and fishing, wineries, live music, farmers' markets, etc.--all with a sleepy getaway vibe to it. This is the best town for anyone trying to tune out the noise and rejoice in celebrating their one and only life on earth.

Leavenworth
A Bavarian village two hours east of Seattle, Leavenworth is everything you could ever want in terms of a quaint, little German town. And for Christmas every year, it turns into a full-on Christmas town with sledding, hot drinks, snowball fights, bonfires, lights, etc. During the warmer months, there's hiking, biking, fishing, and paddleboarding. But the breweries are open year-round!

Port Townsend
Port Townsend has waterfront, Victorian-era buildings and homes, museums that celebrate its days as a major West Coast port during the nineteenth century, art galleries, garden trails, cottages, a quiet beach, and a lighthouse. Awesome! It's ideal if you're a romantic with a love of the Victorian era.
