Lewes
Settled by the Dutch, this town is known for beautiful beaches, wetlands, canals and historic buildings. This sleepy seaside town has restaurants, boutiques and events, such as the local farmers market.
Milton
It's a shipbuilding town with a Victorian heritage. It's filled with historic buildings, and gorgeous riverside views. More so, it has outdoor activities, like canoeing and fishing. There's even ponds and local beer, so it's entirely possible to grab a pint and relax by a waterway somewhere.
Odessa
If you ever wanted to live in a pretty, yet super small town where everyone knows everyone else, then Odessa is it. Population 400 people, this little town is known for kayaking and wildlife-spotting, as well as a tavern and historic buildings.
New Castle
This is so unlike the rest of the state, first of all. Delaware is really... quiet and filled with farm land, but New Castle as close to city living as you can get without actually being a city. It's still historic, but there's also a museum, court house, library, etc.
