Golden Gate Bridge
It's in San Francisco, and it's a whopping 4,200 ft. art deco suspension bridge that's open to car, bike and foot traffic. More than that, there's a clear view of the whole city from the bridge. It's windy, there's a clear view of the ocean, and there's a gift shop to explore too. You can even hit up the cafe right next to it for a hot dog, lemonade, some fries, or coffee.

Statue of Liberty
Opened in 1886, this gift from France represents the freedom of America. There's guided tours, a museum, and city views to die for, but you know what? No trip here is complete without hitting up Ellis Island anyway, so be prepared to look for your great, great ancestors in their arrival records.

Mount Rainier National Park
This place is a 263,000-acre wilderness surrounding Washington's highest peak. It has wildflower meadows, glaciers, clear skies, and of course, stunning views. Best of all, no crowds, no dirty, grimy cities, and no terrible, overpriced food. It's just you and nature, so pack a lunch.

Pier 39
There are tons of piers all around the USA, but there are none like San Francisco's Pier 39. It has sea-lion sightings, since they like to hang out right by it, despite the tourists. There's world-class dining, shops, street performers and entertainment. This bustling bayside pier is hopping with things to do, and it's only a 16 minute walk to Ghirardelli Square! Earn that ice cream, people!
