Pussy Galore
The most famous of the Bond Girls, this American femme fatale with the violet eyes and the outrageous name was also the oldest one. She had quite a history: trained as a trapeze artist, she met Bond while overseeing a gang of lesbian cat burglars. A true iconoclast, she was also a judo expert and a licensed pilot. Although she wasn't completely immune to Bond's charms (although she claimed otherwise), he was unable to convince her to change her criminal ways. 'Will you write to me in Sing Sing' were her parting words to him.
Tiffany Case
This brash American redhead was named after her accidental birthplace, Her mother gave birth to her while shopping for a wedding ring. (Bond told her she was lucky it hadn't been Van Cleef & Arpels.) Fittingly, she worked as diamond smuggler. She claimed to hate men but Bond managed to make her love him.
Vesper Lynd
Bond named his favourite martini after this beautiful brown-eyed orphan. Like her namesake drink, she had a bit of a dangerous kick -- she was working as a double agent when Bond fell in love with her. Once, she managed to save Bond's life. Unfortunately, although he tried, he failed to return the favour.
Honey Ryder
Her first scene, emerging from the sea in a white bikini, holding two seashells, is considered an icon of cinematography. One of the most memorable Bond girls, Honey Ryder was blonde, beautiful, strong, independent and dirt-poor. Honey was the rare Bond girl who got a happy ending. Not only did she survive her adventures with Bond, she moved to Philadelphia, married a doctor, and had two children.
Jill Masterson
An iconic Bond girl, most remember the image of Jill Masterson's perfect (and practically naked) body completely coated in gold paint. She was the criminal mastermind Goldfinger's secretary and mistress, his blue-eyed, blonde-haired 'golden girl' who helped him cheat at cards. A night of illicit love with Bond cost Jill her life. That impressive coat of gold, was Goldfinger's devious way of murdering her by 'skin asphyxiation.' (That wouldn't actually work, in case you were wondering.)
Tracy Bond
Best remembered as the only girl Bond ever married. Yes, Tracy managed to capture the ultimate playboy's heart. She was a tragic figure, though. She suffered through a first marriage to an aristocratic criminal, only to have her young child die from meningitis. Bond met her when he happened to stop her from committing suicide in her grief. (She was attempting to drown herself in the sea.) Finally, she found true love with Bond. Unfortunately, she was shot in the head in a drive-by shooting on their wedding day.
