How Do You Know What Your Spirit Animal Is?

Mostly, it seems, you want something you can relate to. Like when someone who is a big-time afternoon napper says the sloth is their 'spirit animal. ' So, think of your most dominant thing. It can be your most favorite thing or it can be an attitude you like to indulge in or a thing that you do. It can even be negative. Like, a person that doesn't take crap from anyone might have Grumpy Cat for a spirit animal or a paraglider might resonate with a hawk.

You seem ready to attune yourself to a spirit animal and listen to its calling. Your spirit animal will make itself known to you if you open your heart and mind and pay attention. Of course, this process will not be instant, it might take a few days, weeks, or even months. When you notice an animal or symbolic representation of animal - especially if you are near nature or a form of it - take note. If you keep seeing the same animal, especially at poignant moments, that's your spirit animal.

If you have trouble with mental distraction or meditation, you may be able to find your spirit animal in your dreams. In your waking life, take notice of all animals that cross your path, whether in real life, online, or on television, etc. Don't try to make them your spirit animal and don't dismiss any of them. Just take note. Every time you wake up from a dream, write down your dream. If an animal keeps appearing, that animal is likely your spirit animal.

You want to connect with a spirit animal in your mind and in your dreams. Seek it through meditation. Don't try to home in on a particular animal or guide at first. Open yourself up to animals to come forward. Have the intention of connecting to a spirit animal, but don't try to make it a specific one. Your spirit animal might be a surprise to you. The animal that keeps appearing is probably your spirit animal. If it's unexpected, think and reflect on it and you'll soon see the connection.
