I reluctantly help him out, get to work half an hour late, get yelled at by the boss, and hold a grudge against my neighbor for years. I quickly explain that I can't or else I'll be late for work. I'm not sacrificing my neck to get him to work on time! He can find another neighbor to hassle. I help him, and then send a nice, warm message to my boss explaining what happened.
